Gelan Process Vessels & Industrial
Tanks
: ASME-Certified, Custom
Engineered for Harsh Environments

Gelan engineers and manufactures high-performance ASME pressure vessels and industrial process
tanks built for demanding petrochemical, chemical, and refining applications. From high-pressure
reactors to large-scale distillation columns, every unit is fabricated to handle complex media,
fluctuating pressure cycles, and extreme temperatures.

As a premier pressure vessel manufacturer, we combine advanced metallurgy (Carbon, Stainless,
Duplex, Clad), precision welding, and rigorous NDE testing to ensure long-term reliability. We hold
ASME 'U' & 'S' Stamps and comply with global standards including PED (EU) and EAC (Russia/CIS),
making us a trusted partner for global EPCs.

Overcoming Challenges in Industrial Vessel & Tank Fabrication

Comparison Item Gelan Solution Industry Challenge
Corrosion Resistance Weld Overlay (strip cladding) and explosion bonded plates provide high corrosion resistance at a fraction of the cost of solid alloy Process media containing chlorides, acids, or H₂S rapidly degrade carbon steel and can cause Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC)
Thermal & Pressure Cycling Precision fabrication with certified welding procedures and engineering-led stress analysis Frequent thermal shock and pressure fluctuations demand full penetration welding and accurate stress control
Code & Certification Compliance 100% certified welders with in-house hydrotest, RT, UT, and full code documentation Incomplete documentation or failed RT/UT tests can stop projects; global jobs require ASME, PED, or DOSH/MOM compliance
Structural & Mechanical Design Engineering-driven design using PV Elite and ANSYS to verify stresses before fabrication Nozzle loads and wind/seismic forces are often underestimated, increasing operational risk
Oversized Equipment Delivery Integrated global logistics with skid mounting and sea-worthy export packaging Large vessels are difficult to transport and risk damage during international shipping

Why Gelan is Your Trusted Process Vessel Manufacturer

Engineering-Driven ASME Pressure Vessel Design

We use PV Elite and AutoCAD for thermal-mechanical design verification.

Expertise in Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Duplex, Inconel, and Clad Plate ensures long-term reliability in aggressive environments.

All welding, rolling, heat treatment, and machining follow strict pressure vessel fabrication procedures. Complete MDRs (Material Data Records) provided.

Gelan is an ASME U & S Stamp manufacturer with experience supplying projects worldwide under PED, EAC, and international engineering firms.

From FEED design to fabrication and operation, we provide replacement trays, demisters, internals, and long-term service support.

FAQs About ASME Pressure Vessels & Process Tanks

1. What is the difference between ASME Section VIII Div 1 and Div 2 vessels?

Div 1 is the most common code for standard pressure vessels. Div 2 is an alternative rule that allows for thinner wall thickness (saving material cost) but requires more rigorous stress analysis and NDE testing. Gelan can manufacture to both standards within the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.

We offer both. We can fabricate based on your existing drawings, or our engineering team can perform the mechanical design (wall thickness calculation, nozzle load check) based on your process data using PV Elite software.

Carbon Steel, 304/316 Stainless Steel, Duplex, Inconel, and custom clad plates depending on temperature and corrosion requirements.

Yes—horizontal, vertical, jacketed, baffle-integrated, insulated, or skid-mounted options are all available.

Standard pressure vessel testing includes Hydrotest, RT/UT/PT/MT, weld map verification, PMI, dimensional inspection, and full QA documentation.

Yes. We design and manufacture trays, packings, mesh pads, distributors, and vane-type demisters.

For equipment that exceeds standard container sizes, we use Flat Racks or Break Bulk shipping. We design custom steel saddles and skid mounts to ensure the vessel is not damaged during ocean transit.
